Bangkok tuk tuk trail

Jump aboard a traditional Tuk Tuk, our main ride for a half-day of lively adventure through the heady streets of Bangkok. Cruise past Thammasart University to reach Phra Chan (or 'Moon') Road where you'll find the enticing Amulet Market, with a multitude of shiny religious amulets, charms and traditional medicines on offer. Your local guide will explain their significance, and how every Thai amulet is believed to have the power to bring good luck or to ward off evil. Our next stop is the revered Wat Po temple, the centre of Buddhism in Thailand that was the country's first university. Back aboard our Tuk Tuks, we roll onto Phahurat Market in the heart of Bangkok's little India, where a sea of stalls stretches out before you selling various fabrics, cloths, ornaments and accessories, and of course delicious Indian snacks to tempt your taste buds. Next we will find ourselves in the Khlong Thom quarter to visit Woeng Nakorn Kasem, also known as the 'thieves market'. Hunt out a second hand bargain at this market that is famous for Thai and Chinese antiques. Further travel takes us to the temple of Wat Saket at the bottom of the Golden Mount artificial hill. Explore the complex and climb 318 steps to the top of the Golden Mount to enjoy a stunning 360-degree view of the surrounding old Rattankosin Island, for a perfect way to end your tour of Bangkok by Tuk Tuk. From here you are free to continue discovering the city to your heart's content, join your guide for an optional lunch, or return to your hotel. The choice is yours is buzzing Bangkok!
