Delve deep into the ancient Roman past by spending an hour inside the Coliseum, home to gladiator fights and executions, and then proceed to the Forum and walk along the Sacred Way, which once would have been alive with festivals and processions. From here, take in the views of Palatine Hill, which rises above the Coliseum, the most famous of the seven Roman Hills were Romulus and Remus were said to have been found.

Take time for lunch and some souvenir shopping and then, after the hustle and bustle of the city, our air conditioned coach will transport you to Castelli Romani, a picturesque vineyard surrounded by olive groves. Here you will learn all about the area, and the Pallavicini family will open their ancient vineyards and wine cellars for you to enjoy. Over 200 acres of vines and a visit to the 3rd century caverns where their barrels are stored, as well as a tasting of some of their finest produce, all contribute to complete your visit. A perfect day excursion for those wishing to experience the variety of true Italian culture.
