See endangered giant pandas from China (San Diego Zoo has successfully bred pandas) and learn more about these bamboo-munching cuddly giants in the interactive exhibits. Hit the sprawling Australian Outback area to see the koalas, wombats and wallabies. Slither over to the Reptile House to observe pythons, boas and Gila monsters.

Don’t anger the endangered Komodo dragon from Indonesia, which is the largest living lizard in the world with 60 flesh-tearing teeth and a forked tongue.
