From Split we travel through the border between the Dalmatian coast and the hinterland, stopping off at the visually dramatic Red and Blue lakes on the way to the Mostar. Known as a melting pot of cultures, Mostar lays testament to its varied history through its fascinating mix of architecture. Predominantly influenced by centuries long Turkish rule, today you can still admire its skyline punctuated by slim minarets as well as a cobbled bazaar and ornate wooden balconies. A local guide will introduce you to the great history of the city whilst visiting the Old Bazaar and Mosque, before leaving you for some free time to shop or taste local Bosnian specialities.

Then it's off to experience the wild beauty of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the walled town of Pocitel before we make our way to Medjugorje – a worldwide destination for pilgrims. Visit the Apparition Mount, where legend has it that the Virgin Mary appeared in 1981, and discover for yourself why this site holds such a spiritual importance.
