The Phantom of the Opera is a story of love and passion, characterised by its Victorian atmosphere, packed with poignant emotion and tragedy. The action takes place in an opera house in Paris, in two different settings, the stage of the theatre and the dark and dingy basement where the phantom lives. All this tragic character wants is to be recognised as a composer, using Christine to carry out his ambition to create an opera.
